Richard A. Boren
For over fifty years, Richard has represented individuals, businesses and corporations in civil litigation – including over sixty jury trials in State and Federal courts and numerous contested divorce cases. Richard has lectured in various states on advocacy and trial tactics. Richard is a diplomate of Trial Advocacy and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Richard has had the honor of serving as President of the Rhode Island Trial Lawyers Association, the Family Court Inns of Court and the General Litigation Inns of Court. The Rhode Island Supreme Court has appointed Richard to serve on the Supreme Court Disciplinary Committee and the Ethics Advisory Panel, of which he is currently a member. Richard is admitted to practice in all State courts in Rhode Island, the U.S. District Court in Rhode Island, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, the U.S. Court of Claims and the U.S. Supreme Court. Besides trying cases in Rhode Island, Richard has also tried jury trials in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Vermont. For almost twenty-five years, Richard has served on the Jamestown Zoning Board of Review, and is currently its Chairman.
Richard graduated from the University of Rhode Island and St. John’s University School of Law.
Richard’s areas of civil litigation include divorce, shareholder disputes, contested probate litigation, discrimination suits, land use and zoning and personal injury.
